In addition, it leads to irregular heart and breathing rates, inexplicable changes in temperature, and blood pressure. Finally, the irregular flow of the blood to the brain can lead to heart attacks and brain strokes.

Hyperactivity, confusion, and disturbance in sleep patterns are some of the common Delirium Tremens symptoms. In addition, a person who has Delirium Tremens will suffer from breathlessness and sweat profusely. There are also cases that show fever and dehydration as obvious symptoms of this withdrawal syndrome.

Delirium Tremens Symptoms require redressal as a medical emergency. In other words, a person showing such signs requires medical intervention at the earliest. Therefore, these symptoms must be monitored under very strict medical protocols. Those addicts suffering from such symptoms are given sedation through a heavy dosage of drugs and intravenous fluids. In addition, close monitoring of the vitals plays an important role in the treatment. Finally, once the medical intervention gets over, the patient should be taken to a rehabilitation center.  A person who has suffered from these withdrawal symptoms should get the best possible care and counseling post-medical treatment.
